Hi, I'm Dave Balmat, the founder of Consummate K-9 Training. I started training dogs on a professional level in the early 90's. Our first dog training facility was a beautiful horse training and breeding facility no longer being used in New Tripoli, PA. I spent many months and countless hours converting it over to a suitable dog training facility. It worked out quite well. Many of our older clients recall the early days with fond memories. Their dogs are now gone but certainly not forgotten. It is always a special treat to see them return with a new puppy or rescued shelter dog and come back into our training programs. In the fall of 1997 we built a new indoor-outdoor training facility in Andreas, PA to accommodate the enormous amount of folks needing help with their dogs. Due to the diversity of dogs' personalities and dealing with problem dogs, I saw a need for training on an individual basis then moving them into groups for distraction work and socialization. Early on I became known and respected for my expertise and skills in working with problem dogs as well as training owners how to best train their canine companions. Now in 2011 we are still at it and continue to train owners and their dogs to achieve their true potential. With four professional trainers on hand we can help with all dog related issues.
