Kate with Gus (L) and Canhao (R)Kate Creange joined the Consummate K-9 Training team in 2007. After a year of studying and observing their teaching techniques, Kate became a full time trainer in January 2008. She earned a bachelor of science in Criminal Justice from DeSales University in 2006. While at DeSales, Kate completed an internship with the K-9 Unit of Colonial Regional Police Department (Bath, PA). Kate has studied police training techniques as well as search and rescue training. She has trained with Pennsylvania State Police as well as departments throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey. Her training experiences include narcotics detection, explosives detection, tracking, and human remains detection.
"But you said, don't get our paws wet!"Kate currently resides in Allentown with her husband Ryan and their two dogs, Canhao and Augustus. Canhao, a Malinois mix, was brought from Brazil for police work and Augustus (a.k.a. Gus), a Belgian Malinois from the Consummate K-9 Working Dog program, will be trained in explosives detection and tracking.
